Roctober Magazine #26 – Comics Galore Issue
Roctober Magazine #26
Last Fall/Winter 1999
Comics Galore Issue
Since 1992 Chicago's own Roctober magazine has celebrated popular music at its most unpopular, exploring previously unexamined corners of music history to explore absurd, dynamic, and obscure musical heroes in passionate, heavily researched articles, exhaustive critical discographies, and inane comics.
The center of the magazine features a huge 2-color calender (The Hall of Dynamic Greatness Calendar 2000) – with Roctober legends like Serge Gainsbourg, Sugarpie De Santo, Gary Glitter, Fela, and The Zone Brothers. Plus, there's great features on Tim Maia, Sparks, Rock & Wrestling, Terry Jacks, Dan Clowes, Johnny Legend, and others. Also includes Ivan Brunetti's hilarious I Almost Drew Nancy, the super-silly Ratso Meets Cibo Matto – and James Porter's loving Tribute To Alvin Cash! Full color glossy cover art by William McCurtin.
Magazine does have some shelf wear. Some corners are dinged. Some stress lines along the spine. Original price sticker affixed to the back cover. Overall in good condition. There are total of 104 pages plus full color cover. The interior pages are printed black and white on newsprint paper stock.
