What we have here is a Phillipines action production directed by EDDIE ROMERO and starring SAM J. JONES, most famously known for his role as FLASH GORDON, the over-the-top sci-fi musical (with a soundtrack from QUEEN) from the 1980s. Strangely, a small picture of SAM JONES in character as Flash is utilized on the back sleeve artwork of this war actioner. Flash (er Sam...) plays Johnny Quinn, an American undercover secret agent. His mission is to follow the movements of his arch enemy, but unbeknownst to him, he is also being tracked... by the same government agents that hired him for the job! The government believes that Johnny is a traitor spy, and he now has to prove that he is innocent, and find the real bad guys. My favorite part of this Z-Grade film is plain and simple... VIC DIAZ. This cult actor has appeared in countless Filipino films... and always puts a smile on my face. Another familiar face in these war genre actioners, is the venerable MIKE MONTY. An enjoyable lesser-known ROMERO film...not as exploitative as his classic MAD DOCTOR OF BLOOD ISLAND, but entertaining nonetheless.
