This is the live-action remake of the popular anime sci-fi horror series. An ancient evil threatens to destroy modern-day Tokyo in this supernatural chiller based on HIROSHI ARAMATA's novel and featuring conceptual designs by H.R. GIGER. A thousand years have passed since madman Masakado was sentenced to death for crimes against humanity, though the lingering influence of his blackened soul has haunted Tokyo ever since. As rogue psychic Kato sets into motion a dark plan to bring back Masakado and harness his power to destroy Tokyo, it's up to a prophet, a scientist, and a businessman to put a stop to the power-mad villain's nefarious plan.
