Here's one of the true modern action classics of the late 80s. Nikolai (DOLPH LUNDGREN) a super Russian KGB agent/soldier killing machine is sent to Africa to kill an anti-Communist black revolutionary. However, he has a change of heart when he sees how the Russians and their Cuban allies are killing and repressing the locals, so he switches sides and helps the rebels. He's got a goofy haircut too! M. EMMET WALSH plays the gung-ho American reporter, and shouts obscenities throughout which cracks me up every time. It shouldn't be a surprise that this cinematic masterpiece features tons of bloody gunshot wounds, along with a bloody broken nose, pin needles through muscle & flesh, and an arm shot off (an especially nasty scene since the arm literally blows right off!). Right-wing propaganda at it's finest... especially considering this gem was written by JACK ABRAMOFF. Know who that is? A big-time Washington lobbyist who has found himself on the wrong side of the law as of late. Bid on this very rare UNCUT version of this Cold War Anti-Commie Z-Grade trash epic.
