Space shuttle pilots Col. Jason Grant (STAR TREK's WALTER KOENIG) and Ray Tanner (BRUCE CAMPBELL) discover a giant alien spacecraft between the earth and the moon. During an investigation, Grant finds a football-like object and a corpse of what appears to be a 14,000-year old astronaut! Back on Earth, in a NASA laboratory, the football-thing comes back to life and combines itself with the corpse! The result can only be described as sort of a zombie-robot killing machine. It soon wreaks havoc on everything in his path, but Grant manages to destroy it. Then after heading back to the moon, Grant and Tanner then discover the remains of an ancient civilisation! Inside a giant palace, they find the female survivor of a war that took place over 14,000 years ago, and they have to fight against even more of the zombie-robot like creatures. What these two NASA pilots aren't aware of is... that in their return with the landing capsule to the moon, they have now enabled an army of these robot-aliens (known as "Kaaliun") to finish their spacecraft in order to conquer the earth! They've been waiting 14,000 years for this day, and now Grant must find a way to stop them. This is a hard-to-find enjoyable bit of Z-Grade sci-fi entertainment.
