Here is a truly inept attempt at making a teen runaway exploitation gem. In this implausible and amateur made-for-video schlocker, Karen (PAMELA DIXON), an undercover policewoman and apparently a part-time Mother Theresa... takes in 2 teenage girls, Angie (TRICIA PARKS) and Fionna (KITA HARRISON), into her happily married home to help them get off the drugs and away from the undesirable life on the streets. Awkward dialogue and scenarios make this quite laughable, including the aftermath of Fionna sleeping with Karen's husband Paul (JEFFREY OLSEN). And to make matters worse, after trying to put the kids back with their parents, it all goes wrong anyway and she makes a personal vendetta to hunt down the drug dealers and pimps that harmed the gals. Dumb Z-Grade entertainment, some nudity for interest, including a pseudo porn set shoot. The first of many JOSEPH MERHI / RICHARD PEPIN direct-to-vid collaborative action trash. And dig the cheesy hair-metal sounds of the closing credits song... ANGELS OF THE CITY!!
